Writing and selling an eBook can be a fantastic source of passive income. How-to eBooks and non-fiction are incredibly popular and can acceptably be under 10,000 words. Even around 5,000 is OK as long as you’re teaching your reader something or adding value in some way.

These kinds of books are most successful when priced between $2.99-5.99. When you publish with Amazon KDP, you will keep 70% of the royalties. This means that for a book priced at $2.99, you will get $2, and for one priced at $5.99 you will keep just over $4 profit. If you enroll your book in KDP Select you will also get paid for the pages that members of the Kindle Unlimited program read. It works out to be about $5 for 1000 pages and is usually a big chunk of my earnings.

Can you make $100 a day Selling eBooks?

Based on just book sales and not pages read, you would need to sell between 25-50 books a day to make $100 a day publishing eBooks.

BUT this might not be as difficult as you think!

Pick a topic that’s profitable and use keywords that people search for (but that you have a chance in showing up on the results).

So how do you find out what topics and keywords will make you money?

Use Publisher Rocket!

If you are a creative person (or even if you’re not), it’s not too difficult to create designs and sell them online. This can be a bit of work initially, but you are creating another stream of passive income!

You could make designs for t-shirts, printables, lessons and worksheets for kids or logos and patterns.

Printify and Printful are two user-friendly print on demand services that I use. They each offer a selection of blank products that you can put your design onto (items such as clothing, blankets, towels, mugs, pens, jewelry, notebooks and much, much more). I signed up with both to give me a full choice. For each you simply need to create a free account, choose a product, and upload your design. It’s incredibly user-friendly. They sync with Etsy so it’s easy to get a store up and running for absolutely nothing. You don’t need to pay anything until there’s a purchase- and you make a profit!

FREELANCE

Freelance work is basically doing what you love most while finding someone to pay you for doing it! It’s totally on your own terms. You can set your prices, work when you want, and choose the jobs you take. You can do almost anything as a freelancer. From designing to writing, coding to coaching, there are so many choices.

So where can you find freelance work?

For me, there are two main options.

USE FIVERR

Fiverr is a site that I use a lot. Whenever you’re into illustrating, writing, designing or coding, you can set up shop here. It’s a kind of hub for freelancers, and you can find just about any kind of work. Setting yourself up on Fiverr is a very low-risk way to start your freelancing journey. Simply make a profile, showcase your skills, and start building a client base. You have control over your own terms and prices but without the hassle of dealing with payments. SET UP YOUR OWN SITE

The second alternative for getting freelance work is to set up your own website. You can start a website with Bluehost for as little as $2.95 a month which also includes your free domain name. You can then use your site as a platform to create valuable content, showcase your services, and build credibility with customers. If you’re really serious about your freelancing career, then this is hands down the way to go. You will always have full control and it will allow you to build meaningful relationships with customers, start an email list with potential clients, and build your freelance empire! RENT OUT WHAT YOU OWN

Maybe the easiest way to make $100 a day is to rent out what you own. Everything you own is an asset- re-evaluate to see whether it could be making you money! Making money like this is also fairly passive and low-risk- you don’t have to pay anything to get started. Just make sure you have the right insurance in place!

There are loads of different ways you can rent out a room in your house that are more flexible than having a full-time flatmate.

If you’re not so keen on the ‘side hustle’ idea, but are looking for a solid and consistent way to make at least $100 a day without leaving the house, getting a job that allows you to work from home could be the best fit for you.

The benefits of working for an employer are huge- they pay holidays, sick leave and pension, you have support when you need it, you’re part of a team, and you have a paycheck coming in like clockwork.

There are more and more options available to work for an employer from the comfort of home. You might have to be available for the usual office hours but employers are becoming more flexible in this regard as well. Working from home will mean you can save time on the commute and have more time for family life or the things you love to do.
